Auckland Transport will be increasing prices for public transport and parking from today

Adult Public transport fares will increase by between 10 and 25 cents on bus and train trips and between 40 and 60 cents on ferry trips.

The price for on-street parking and in AT-managed carparks will increase by 50 cents an hour across the region excluding areas that have already had raises in the past year.

Auckland Transport says it's kept increases as low as possible.

It says they're needed to keep up with the rising costs of running the parking system and dealing with complaints.
