Police are packing up the recovery operation at the Mount Maunganui landslide

Police are packing up the recovery operation at the Mount Maunganui landslide

Six people were killed, after the slip careened through part of a campsite at the Mount's base, last Thursday.

As of yesterday evening, all of the victims had been formally identified by the coroner.

Police say they will now provide any necessary Coronial inquest support, and will be gathering information to assist WorkSafe's investigation.

The cordons will remain for the safety of those on site, and the public.

The scene will be handed over to Tauranga City Council in the coming days.
