Golfer Daniel Hillier has taken advantage of his tournament invite at the latest European Tour event in Northern Ireland with a second round eight-under par 62

The Kiwi world number 678 carded nine birdies and one bogey in his round at Galgorm Castle to reach 11-under and a one shot lead.

The 23-year-old does not have full playing rights on any tour but equalled the course record with a 64 at Hollinwell in final qualifying for the Open Championship earlier this month.
