    Rory McIlroy is welcoming the chance to play for golf's FedEx Cup but reckons world number one Scottie Scheffler might be hard done-by by format changes


    PGA Tour officials have ditched the controversial 'starting-strokes' format for this year's season-ending event in Atlanta starting Friday.

    That allowed the FedEx Cup leader to start the Tour Championship at 10-under, with the rest of the field staggered behind him.
