Sydney's beaches are open to swimmers again, two days after a man died in the city's first fatal shark attack since the 1960s

Sydney's beaches are open to swimmers again, two days after a man died in the city's first fatal shark attack since the 1960s

The 35 year-old was mauled by a shark...believed to have been a large great white...on Wednesday.

Though the beaches are open, a charity swim scheduled for Sunday has been cancelled.

Surf lifesavers on jet skis are patrolling a 25km stretch of water from Bondi in the city's east to Cronulla, hoping to find the shark.
