World tennis number two Simona Halep has decided to play the WTA Prague clay court tournament next month, adding further doubt to her participation in the US Open

The Prague tournament runs from August the 10th to 16th, two weeks before the Grand Slam starts in New York.

Halep's commitment to the back-to-back clay court tournaments would hint at her focussing on the rescheduled French Open which gets under way in Paris in late September.
