    With a seven win-17 loss record for the season coming into the Eastbourne lead-in tournament - the Kiwi world number 46 has knocked out top seed and defending champion Daria Kasatkina in three sets.

    Sun - who's won back to back matches just once in 2025 - has been asked if the upset victory can give her some momentum with Wimbeldon starting next week.



    Sun will play world number 69 Anna Blinkova in the second round at Eastbourne.
