A man's appeared in court after a stabbing in Auckland's Pakuranga which caused the victim to turn up at a stranger's address with critical injuries

A 24-year-old man was in Manukau District Court today on charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The victim sped into an address on Jade Avenue two weeks ago demanding an ambulance.

He's now been discharged from hospital but is still recovering.

Police say it's not a random incident.
