Two bus drivers were assaulted within an hour of eachother in Auckland on Saturday night

Two bus drivers were assaulted within an hour of eachother in Auckland on Saturday night

Police say a 51-year-old man punched a driver several times just after 7.30pm on Customs Street East in the CBD, before also punching a member of the public.

They say the man is due in Auckland District Court today for breaching bail conditions and for assault with intent to injure.

About an hour later, Police received another call to a bus driver being assaulted by a passenger in Grey Lynn.

However, they say the passenger had left the area by the time it was reported.
