An Auckland jewellery store near Westfield St Lukes was robbed yesterday afternoon -- prompting a chase, and three arrests

An Auckland jewellery store near Westfield St Lukes was robbed yesterday afternoon -- prompting a chase, and three arrests

Police were called at 3.30pm to reports two men had entered the store, smashed counters with tools and left with jewellery.

Stolen items were reportedly handed to occupants of a Mazda, and others fled in a Subaru -- later found abandoned with jewellery inside.

The Mazda was later caught after reports of driving erratically, and its three occupants arrested.

Police say they are considering charges for the 17-to-19 year olds.
