    man's been arrested in Auckland CBD, and a fake gun's been recovered after reports of a person carrying a firearm


    The 28-year-old was taken into custody near the Hobson and Cook Street intersection just before 5pm.

    Earlier this afternoon, Police were notified a man may have had a firearm on Great North Road in New Lynn.

    There were no reports the fake weapon had been pointed at anyone.

    Police say they will look to lay charges.
