Police say they're still in the early stages of investigating a man's death with gunshot wounds in Auckland yesterday

Police say they're still in the early stages of investigating a man's death with gunshot wounds in Auckland yesterday

He died in hospital - after arriving injured at Clendon Park Medical Centre.

Police haven't identified people interest or made any arrests - and a post-mortem examination's being done today.

The Herald's Jaime Lyth says the residents she's been speaking with are shocked and uncertain.

She says one neighbour didn't let their child walk to school today, out of concern.
