Expectations Auckland's housing market will keep heating up this year

Barfoot and Thompson data shows it sold more than 11-thousand homes in 2025, the most in four years.

It had more than 20-thousand new listings, the highest number in two decades.

Managing Director Peter Thompson says he expects more activity by April.

He says most people with bank loans due to be renewed will get lower interest rates - giving them more money in their pocket.
