A knife has been found at the scene of a serious late night assault in Auckland's CBD, which left two people injured

28 February 2026

Emergency services were called to Lorne Street at 10.20 and arrested a 65-year-old man.

The man is due to appear in Auckland District Court today on two counts of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

One person suffered critical injuries and is now stable, another was seriously injured.

Cordons remain in place today as a scene examination is carried out.
