Christchurch is leading the way - in sustainable airport service fire fighting

New Zealand's first electric fire truck has arrived at Christchurch Airport, which is also a first for the Southern Hemisphere.

Chief Executive Justin Watson says a second Rosenbauer RT vehicle has been confirmed, and they'll also get an e-Panther next year.

He says it's one of the most capable electric fire fighting vehicles in the world, taking their fire service capacity to an unmatched level in New Zealand.
