Christchurch's Burwood Hospital is finally set for earthquake repairs, 15 years on from the 2010 quake

Christchurch's Burwood Hospital is finally set for earthquake repairs, 15 years on from the 2010 quake

A tender for a construction contractor is open on the Government's website, with Health NZ seeking a firm to carry out extensive work across three hospital buildings.

It says the minor surgery building needs existing walls and suspended ceilings stripped, before being refitted for administrative use.

The Spinal Hostel Building requires quake strengthening and repairs to walls and ceilings, while the Old Administrative Building needs partial re-levelling of its foundation floor slab.
