    A man has appeared in court today - after a suspected firearms incident in Christchurch last night


    Police were called to Hornby shortly after 6.30pm - after reports of a man being chased down Amyes Road.

    One of his pursuers allegedly had a firearm.

    A person's in hospital with a suspected gunshot wound.

    A 19-year-old man was arrested at an Amyes Road property - and charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
