The gunman is attempting to overturn his convictions and life sentence.
Brenton Tarrant submitted evidence to three judges in Wellington yesterday claiming poor mental health brought on by prison conditions, left him no choice but to plead guilty in 2020.
The court also heard yesterday from a psychologist, who found Tarrant's concerns a valid reason for changing his pleas to guilty.
He was asked whether he'd properly scrutinised the terrorist, who's admitted fooling health professionals before.
