    A historic Christchurch cafe is calling for help from the public, after it was robbed over the long weekend


    The Sign of the Kiwi, on the corner of Summit Rd and Dyers Pass Road, was hit by robbers early yesterday morning.

    CCTV footage shows two men in dark hoodies taking items from the counter and smashing glassware on the floor.

    The cafe says items crucial for the day to day running of the cafe were taken.

    Police are investigating.
