A new challenge awaits former Canterbury, Crusaders and All Blacks flanker Matt Todd

The 34 year old - who hasn't officially hung up his boots yet - has signed on as an assistant coach for Canterbury's NPC team for the upcoming provincial season.

Todd says it's an exciting challenge to link back up with the red and blacks.

Todd's part of a new four prong coaching line-up headed by Marty Bourke.
