Tingjun Cao is back in the High Court in Christchurch today, to participate in his murder trial - over the death of Yanfei Bao

The 53 year old is accused of stabbing the real estate agent to death during a private property viewing last July - her body found buried more than a year later.

The jury was sent home yesterday, when Cao waived his right to attend, although he's present today.

Translation issues have also caused delays, just days in to the six week trial.

Three civilian witnesses are expected on the stand today.
