A trial date has been set for the 46-year-old man charged with murder after a dismembered body was found in the boot of a car in North Canterbury last year

Parts of Richard Leman 's body was found in his own car, at a property on Tyler Street, Rangiora.

Michael Scott Rodger denies killing Leman.

He was originally scheduled to stand trial last month, but it was adjourned at the eleventh hour.

A new date, in August 2026, has now been set.
