    An 84th minute try to hooker George Bell has given Canterbury a 31-25 win over the Mako to retain the Log o' Wood for another week, as you heard on Gold Sport.

    Bell had flown into Christchurch this morning after spending the week in Wellington as All Blacks injury cover.

    Elsewhere, Auckland recorded back-to-back wins with a 52-29 victory over Manawatu at Eden Park.
