    State Highway 1 near South Canterbury's Makikihi will close tonight to recover a truck


    Emergency services were alerted to the crash, between Rodgers Road and Frederick Street, after 10.30 this morning.

    Police say no other vehicles were involved and nobody was injured.

    Motorists should expect delays between seven and 10pm while cranes recover the truck and trailer unit.
