The investigation into the cause of a fire at a derelict Dunedin boarding house is continuing

Crews were called to the Phillips Street blaze shortly after 6.30 on Friday morning.

There had been concerns about people possibly squatting at the property who hadn't been accounted for.

Police have now confirmed no one died in the fire, but they want to hear from anyone who may have seen anything in the area overnight Thursday or during the early hours of Friday.
