A worker at the Dunedin supermarket battling a rat infestation, says the store has been 'dead' since the news broke

A worker at the Dunedin supermarket battling a rat infestation, says the store has been 'dead' since the news broke

Photos taken late last year showed rats roaming deli shelves at Countdown Dunedin South.

Woolworths New Zealand's confirmed cleaning procedures have been ramped up, in response to the increased "pest activity".

According to the ODT, an employee says staff morale is good despite the negative publicity.

She says while the store has been unusually quiet, it's spotlessly clean.
