A strong start was short lived for the Wellington Phoenix, suffering a 4-nil loss to the Central Coast Mariners at Sky Stadium

The home side looked competitive until the 26th minute, when Mariners winger Beni N'Kololo opened the scoring.

Second half goals to Jason Cummings, Matheus Moresche and Matthew Hatch pushed the Mariners out of reach.

Phoenix skipper Oli Sail says his side didn't make the most of their opportunities on Sky Sport.
