A range of weather is expected to test drivers over Queen's Birthday weekend

A range of weather is expected to test drivers over Queen's Birthday weekend

NZTA wants drivers to be extra careful on roads which could become treacherous from freezing, windy or wet conditions.

Journey manager Tresca Forrester says conditions will vary, and alpine roads will need special attention if they become icy.

She says drivers need to slow down, take their time and get to their destination safely.

Forrester says roads will be busy on the first long weekend of Level 2.
