A man's died in Kaitaia in Northland after being hit by a vehicle about 6.30 last night

The man was taken to hospital but has died overnight.
The vehicle was found at the scene and police have spoken to an 18-year-old woman.
She's since been charged with common assault over an earlier incident involving the man who died.
She's due to appear in the Kaitaia District Court at a later date.
