A man is being questioned by Christchurch police after reports of a prowler in Upper Riccarton

A man was reported unlawfully entering two houses between 6am and 7am today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Colin Baillie says a man is now assisting police with Operation Linen inquiries.

He says residents should contact police if they saw a prowler or noted any unusual activity in the area.

Support is being provided to people affected by the house break-ins.
