    The large fire in an Auckland church is now out


    18 fire appliances were sent to St Stephens Presbyterian Church on Jervois Road.

    Fire and Emergency were called at 3.30 this afternoon.

    While the fire is out, they're still dealing with hotspots in the roofing void of the 134 year-old wooden building.

    Smoke from the blaze was seen from as far away as the North Shore.
