    One person is in a serious condition, after a major crash north of Auckland


    Police say a large truck and three other vehicles collided on State Highway 16 at Kaukapakapa about 6.15 this morning.

    The road is closed in both directions, with diversions in place.

    Police are also continuing to investigate two fatal crashes -- at Rangiriri in Waikato, and Marton in Rangitikei.
