    One person has died and another person is seriously injured, after a crash in Western Bay of Plenty


    Emergency services were called to the two-vehicle crash on State Highway Two near Tauranga about 8.45 last night.

    State Highway 14 in Whangarei was also closed overnight, due to a crash.

    Police were called to that crash, at the intersection of Maunu Road and Pukenui Road, just after 10pm.
