    Motorists are being urged to take extra care tonight with rough weather on the way in some places


    A heavy rain watch is in force for Northland and North Auckland, after an already wet week..

    With the rain expected to continue overnight, the transport agency is telling motorists to check for road closures before heading out.

    It's reminding people to drive to the conditions, and watch for unexpected hazards like surface flooding, potholes or slips.
