    A temporary speed limit's in place on part of State Highway 8, around Lake Pukaki, where 24 people were injured in three crashes last week


    NZTA's dropped the limit to 50 kilometres an hour, on a 28 kilometre stretch from today.

    Two buses rolled carrying Chinese tourists on Thursday, before a multi-vehicle crash on Sunday.

    NZTA's Mark Pinner says extra signs are also up warning drivers to watch for ice and grit.
