The State of Emergency in Christchurch and Banks Peninsula will be reassessed at midday

Torrential rain drenched parts of Canterbury, causing flooding, slips, and road closures mid week this week.
Christchurch City Council says four roads are still closed in Christchurch due to the managed release of water from stormwater basins.
Most roads in Banks Peninsula will open next week.
Council is still asking Akaroa residents to limit their waste water use, until the main is fixed.
