Two off-license premises in the Central North Island town of Taihape have been caught selling alcohol to underage volunteers

Two off-license premises in the Central North Island town of Taihape have been caught selling alcohol to underage volunteers

Central District Police Alcohol Harm Prevention Officers visited seven premises across Taihape, Hunterville and Marton last Saturday.

Wanganui Area Prevention Manager Inspector Phil Weaver says selling to minors is a serious offence and it's disappointing to see non-compliance.

On a positive note, Police say they observed good behaviours over the weekend at the Huntaway Festival in Hunterville.
