A Coromandel business leader says the Cathedral Cove walking track needs to be back open for summer

A Coromandel business leader says the Cathedral Cove walking track needs to be back open for summer

The Government's allocated five-million-dollars for a short-term fix for the track.

The beach has been inaccessible by land since February last year, after Cyclone Gabrielle.

Destination Hauraki Coromandel General Manager Hadley Dryden says it's a huge drawcard for the region -- and country.

He says they'll take what they can get and will deliver what they can for summer.
