Police are investigating reports of shots being fired at a house in Gisborne

Police are investigating reports of shots being fired at a house in Gisborne

Officers were called to a Ranfurly Street property at 6:30 this morning, after a neighbour reported hearing a gunshot.

Police determined the house had been shot at while people were inside, but no one was injured.

It's believed the incident, which follows others in Kaiti and Mangapapa last week, is gang-related.

Police say they're working with gang leaders to de-escalate tensions, and officers will maintain a highly-visible presence in the area.
