Two years since Wellington's fatal Loafers lodge fire

Five of the 92 residents in the boarding house were killed in the early morning blaze in 2023, with many others left homeless.

The fire-damaged shell of the building still stands on Adelaide Road.

The man charged with murder and arson will be back in court at the end of this month, his name continues to be suppressed.
