Five people have been injured after a three-vehicle crash east of Queenstown

Emergency services were called to the collision on the State Highway 6 Gibbston Highway, near the Roaring Meg power station, about 10.30am.

The highway's down to one lane between Waitiri Road and Kawarau Gorge Road.

Police say the road's expected to remain partially blocked while emergency services are at the scene.
