Winston Peters is promising a referendum on abolishing Maori seats - reviving an earlier campaign

The NZ First leader says they're unnecessary, now 27 percent of MPs have a Maori background,.
The Party campaigned on a referendum in 2017, but Peters dropped the pledge when Labour ruled it out.
He says not all policies get over the line during negotiations.
He says he told voters in 2017 the party can't fly to the moon on a microlight - and people have to vote for it if they want change.
