Claims the new Government will work hard to deliver better results for Maori

Claims the new Government will work hard to deliver better results for Maori

Te Pati Maori is calling for mass protests tomorrow, including a slow moving convoy with an aim to gridlock traffic into Auckland's city centre.

The party is accusing the new Government of an assault on tangata whenua - for scrapping smokefree laws, the Maori Health Authority and Three Waters.

Finance Minister Nicola Willis says they intend to be judged on the outcomes they provide for Maori.

She says all Labour delivered for Maori was declining educational achievement, reduced access to health services and longer waiting lists for housing.
