    A new iwi housing initiative is taking off in Auckland, with 24 homes under construction on Ngati Whatua land


    The iwi is collaborating with BNZ, to offer lending to hapu looking to build on the whenua.

    The bank's Maori Business Growth Head, Whetu Rangi, says they hope to reduce the struggle for Maori wanting to own a home.

    He says the bank is proud of the initiative, but it's only the first steps.
