Growing controversy over the government's plan to close the Maori Health Authority

Growing controversy over the government's plan to close the Maori Health Authority

Stuff is reporting the government may introduce its bill to close Te Aka Whai Ora before a scheduled urgent hearing at the Waitangi Tribunal.

This would remove the Tribunal's jurisdiction of the issue.

Trade Union PSA says this move would show a lack of credibility and accountability from the government, and the hearing must go ahead.
