    Is it time for maori hospitals?


    An article in the New Zealand Medical Journal makes the case for Maori organisations to investigate developing hospitals.

    Researchers have spoken with 10 groups of kaumatua - who felt hospitals with more maori staff in all positions would help them feel better quicker.

    Auckland University Associate Professor Marama Muru-Lanning says Maori hospitals have been a long-held vision for Maori.

    She believes we have the skill and potential to create amazing health services for Maori and other New Zealanders.
