    Emergency services are responding to a large chemical spill at a Gisborne mill


    A staff member at Larsen Sawmilling in Makaraka reported the incident just after three 20 today.

    Fire and Emergency shift manager Murray Dunbar says the more than 11 metre wide spill has been contained.

    Police and St John are also at the mill - but no injuries have been reported.
