Two weekend police chases are being investigated, including one in which a man died after suffering a medical event

Two weekend police chases are being investigated, including one in which a man died after suffering a medical event

The 39-year-old allegedly failed to stop for police in Flaxmere, on Saturday night.

After fleeing in his car for a short time - he stopped and got out.

Police say this was about the time an officer deployed a taser twice, but it appears to have failed to make contact with the target.

The driver then assaulted an officer before fleeing on foot, and was found at a nearby property - where it appears he suffered a medical event and died.

    Several investigations are underway.

Meanwhile the driver of a vehicle who allegedly hit a police officer in Huntly during a pursuit yesterday morning is assisting with police enquiries.
