The Health Minister says the focus is on containing and stamping out measles, as new cases pop up in Northland and Queenstown

The first South Island case was confirmed yesterday, bringing the total up to seven.

Simeon Brown says Health New Zealand will be looking at further ways to stamp measles out.

He says it's identifying close contacts and locations of interest - and further information will soon be made available.
