???1;Two more are being added to the holiday drowning toll after a pair was recovered from Ripiro Beach in Northland

Police say they were called to the area between Mahuta Gap and Glinks Gully just before 7pm yesterday and helped pull two men out of the water.

They were unresponsive and died at the scene despite first responders providing first aid.

Local iwi have placed a rahui on the area, until 7pm tomorrow.

Water Safety's drowning toll is currently at 3 - but this latest incident would bring that to five.
